As part of Universal’s 100-year celebration, the studio has resurrected one of its classic monsters for the October disc release WEREWOLF: THE BEAST AMONG US. And it has added some modern gore to the mix; we’ve got some exclusive photos of the red stuff to share after the jump.

Arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download October 9 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment, WEREWOLF: THE BEAST AMONG US is set in a 19th-century European village, where a young man (Guy Wilson) studying with the local doctor (THE COMPANY OF WOLVES’ Stephen Rea) joins a group of monster hunters trying to rid the area of a hairy predator that is bloodily claiming victims and spreading its curse. Directed by Louis Morneau, the unrated film will be accompanied on the disc by commentary by Morneau and producer Mike Elliott, featurettes and deleted scenes. You can see the latest trailer below the pics and look for on-set coverage soon on this site and in Fango #317, on sale in September.
