Another independent chiller is carving out a bit of big-screen exposure: SMILEY, directed by Michael Gallagher, will be hitting theaters in time for the Halloween season. Read on for the info and a new clip.

Fever Productions has announced an exclusive partnership with AMC Theatres to send SMILEY into venues across the U.S. starting October 12 (see the list below). Gallagher, creator of the popular TOTALLY SKETCH YouTube series, scripted with UNDEAD OR ALIVE’s Glasgow Phillips; SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE’s Michael Wormser produced. Caitlin Gerard stars as Ashley, a mentally fragile college student who learns about the urban legend of the eponymous serial killer, who can be summoned via the Internet and may or may not be stalking her. Melanie Papalia, Shane Dawson, Andrew James Allen, HOSTEL: PART II’s Roger Bart and THE THING’s Keith David co-star.
