Last year FANGORIA held our first ever short fiction contest, dubbed WEIRD WORDS. Budding writers – and in some cases, seasoned pros - were encouraged to submit a piece of unpublished fiction. The best were published on our website and then readers wrote in to vote for their favorites, with the winner – in this case, Johnnie Alward with his tale LET LOVE IN – was published in the iconic pages of FANGORIA Magazine.
Well, sharpen your quills scribblers because it’s time for another round.

Presenting the second annual FANGORIA’S WEIRD WORDS Short Horror Fiction competition. Due to the OVERWHELMING level of submissions last round, this year we are charging an entry fee of $10 per story. Writers can enter more than once.
Here are the rules of entry:
1. Story must be previously UNPUBLISHED.
2. Story must play within the parameters of horror, science fiction or dark fantasy.
3. Story must be no longer than 2500 words.
4. Deadline is October 1, 2012.
Send your entry fee payment by clicking on the payment button here:
You will then receive instructions as to where to send your story. This time, the top 10 stories will be printed at www.Fangoria.com and the top THREE stories will be published in the pages of FANGORIA Magazine.
NOTE: All published-in-print writers WILL get compensated for their work as well as maintaining the rights to their stories.
Get writing and GOOD LUCK!
