The full trailer for SILENT HILL: REVELATION has arrived.
Michael J. Bassett's (DEATHWATCH, SOLOMON KANE) sequel, based mostly on SILENT HILL 3, looks like much more of a literal video game adaptation than Christophe Gans' first film, albeit still densely populated with falling ash and weird creatures (including Malcolm McDowell's getup) galore.
"The story follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now, on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."
Gans' entry, while flawed, is an often atmospheric, and eerie tale that made one of the best attempts so far at breaking away from how video game movies work. Will REVELATION be a more standard, pulpy and especially game-ish horror adventure?
Yahoo! premiered. SILENT HILL: REVELATION 3D is out October 26 from Open Road Films.
