Tribeca Films is staying in the found footage business, releasing UK chiller HOLLOW this September.
Apparently informed by the tradition of classic Gothic sensibility, but weaved into the modern aesthetic of-the-moment, Michael Axelgaard's HOLLOW concerns "an old monastery in a small, remote village in Suffolk, England that has been haunted by a local legend for centuries. Left in ruin and shrouded by the mystery of a dark spirit that wills young couples to suicide, the place has been avoided for years, marked only by a twisted, ancient tree with an ominous hollow said to be the home of great evil. When four friends on holiday explore the local folklore, they realize that belief in a myth can quickly materialize into reality, bringing horror to life for the town."
Having previously had a bit of a hit with GRAVE ENCOUNTERS (a sequel is on its way this fall, as well), Tribeca seems to have found their corner of the genre market. HOLLOW is set to hit video and digital On Demand avenues September 19. Below, find a UK trailer (this could have some nice, moody moments), the latest poster and viral newspaper clippings related to the film's story. You can keep up with the film at its official Facebook.
