Bloodthirsty prehistoric piranha, drunk and stupid kids partying it up during spring break and a hilariously Doc Brownish Christopher Lloyd are featured in the new PIRANHA 3-D trailer. Oh, and it also has Richard Dreyfuss in Matt Hooper cap and glasses, stranded out at sea. He’s going to need a bigger boat!

Alexandre Aja’s remake of Joe Dante’s 1978 film stars Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Jerry O’Connell, Ving Rhames, Jessica Szohr and Steven R. McQueen. Yahoo Movies debuted the new trailer, and it promises lots of campy, gory fun when PIRANHA 3D attacks theaters from Dimension Films August 27.

 

 

Also over the weekend, coincidentally enough, a trailer for Dante’s own new dimensional feature THE HOLE also hit the web. It’s an international preview for the movie, in which a trio of youths discover a pit in the basement that causes their fears to come to life; the film unfortunately still doesn’t have U.S. distribution, a situation Dante discussed with us here.
