Despite coming up shy of many audiences' expectations, PROMETHEUS is still on the mind. Below, catch a newly revealed still that hints at the Engineers' heritage and Lianne Spiderbaby and her Fright Bytes' review of the film.
Prometheus Forum collected a slew of making-of photos from the film's stunning creation-of-life opening sequence that reveal an "Elder Engineer," if you will. Previously rumored, the photo confirms the presence of those who created them who created us. Is it possible they're now being saved for the proposed sequel Ridley Scott wants/sets up for?
For much more, including some amazing looks at the makeup FX of the Engineers, head over to Prometheus Forum.

Sticking on the design end of things, Badass Digest has an insanely cool write-up on PROMETHEUS' utilization of some of H.R. Giger's original designs for Alejandro Jodorowsky's sadly non-existent DUNE, which brought him together with ALIEN scripter and genre titan Dan O'Bannon in the 70s. You can get the lowdown on all of that here.

Meanwhile, author and Fango scribe Lianne Spiderbaby has unveiled the most recent episode of horror celebration/review series Fright Bytes, and wouldn't you know, it's PROMETHEUS-centric. She writes in, "In this episode, your hosts visit outer space in search of old movies (watch for the unique titles and formats in the episode!), but what deadly species awaits them on their mission?! FANGORIA award-winning director (for his film EXHUMED in 2003), Brian Clement directs a special sci-fi introduction for this episode in honor of Ridley Scott’s new alien prequel, PROMETHEUS. Brian Clement has just finished his new movie, PROJECT BREAKWATER and Fright Bytes host Steve Mac interviews him about the film, and other upcoming projects."
