The talented young star is once again talking up her transformation, and citing another recent film for comparison.
Vanity Fair spoke to Chloe Moretz at some sort of gala called Face of the Future, and gained some more insight into BOYS DON'T CRY director Kimberly Peirce's vision for the redo. "“I am changing everything about me—my hair, my look,” she said. "I’m doing my own take on [the character]. The script is totally different from the [original]. It’s more like the book. It’s a more BLACK SWAN version—it messes with your mind. You’ll see things, and you don’t know if you’ve seen them.”
Meanwhile, Deadline is reporting that Portia Doubleday (who is so good in YOUTH IN REVOLT) will take on the part of Chris Hargensen, the mean girl (originated by Nancy Allen in Brian De Palma's classic) who engineers poor Carrie's bloody prom incident. The excellent, often underrated Judy Greer (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, ARCHER) has also joined the cast as sympathetic gym teacher Ms. Desjardin.
CARRIE co-stars Julianne Moore as Carrie's mother, Margaret White, and is set for release March 15, 2013.
