And he's mustache-less!
Arguably THE WALKING DEAD's biggest threat (aside from The Walking Dead themselves, of course), the Governor's impending arrival on the series' third season is big news for fans. TV Guide has the first image of actor David Morrissey as the sick bastard, and while I've never been one to whine about aesthetic differences, the lack of handlebar sleaze does make him seem a bit less grody than his illustrated counterpart.
WALKING DEAD creator Robert Kirkman reassures viewers however, telling TV Guide we can expect the same heartless son of a bitch we got on the page. "The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the comic. I think that he's definitely going to be a character that people love to hate and are absolutely entertained by, but also somewhat terrified of. He's definitely going to be a very important character and a very nuanced character. We are not going to be watering him down."
For everything Kirkman had to say, check out the post here, and ogle The Governor below. THE WALKING DEAD returns this fall.
