The horror-music creators at Midnight Syndicate have released their first official music video, for the song "Dark Legacy" from the soundtrack of the group's debut feature film THE DEAD MATTER (pictured). Check out the clip after the jump.
Lensed at Lakewood, Ohio's allegedly haunted Phantasy Theatre, "Dark Legacy" was directed by filmmaker/FX artist David Greathouse, an award-winner for his videos for Mushroomhead (whose Jeff Hatrix and Tom "Schmotz" Schmidt make appearances), and marks the first time Midnight Syndicate's Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka have performed together live. Robert Kurtzman and his Precinct 13 company, who co-produced and provided FX for THE DEAD MATTER, also co-produced the clip. THE DEAD MATTER, in which a young woman tries to communicate with her dead brother via an ancient relic coveted by rival vampires, stars genre veterans Tom Savini and Andrew Divoff and hits DVD July 30; look for coverage of the movie in Fango #295, on sale in June. THE DEAD MATTER's official website can be found here, and Midnight Syndicate's site is here.
