After bringing a number of Roger Corman Cult Classics to
special-edition disc in the last couple of years, Shout! Factory is turning its
attention to horrors of the ’80s, announcing nine titles to inaugurate its new
Scream Factory DVD/Blu-ray line, including a few noteworthy sequels.
Scream Factory will launch September 18 with new Collector’s Editions of HALLOWEEN II and HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH. Like all the films in this series, these two will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, and both come packed with bonus features:
HALLOWEEN II Collector’s Edition:

• Audio commentary by stunt coordinator/Shape actor Dick Warlock

Retail prices are $24.97 for the DVDs, $29.93 for the Blu-rays. Those who order the HALLOWEEN II DVD or Blu-ray direct from Shout! Factory’s official website will receive an exclusive “Haddonfield Memorial Hospital nurse’s hat”; those who order HALLOWEEN III from the site will get an exclusive 18x24” poster featuring the newly commissioned artwork. Less than 500 of each have been made, so order fast!
Also coming under the Scream Factory banner are Don Coscarelli’s PHANTASM II, John Carpenter’s alien thriller THEY LIVE, Tobe Hooper’s THE FUNHOUSE, Roger Spottiswoode’s Jamie Lee Curtis-starrer TERROR TRAIN, Michael Ritchie’s Peter Benchley adaptation THE ISLAND and the U.S. disc debuts of Wes Craven’s DEADLY BLESSING and Dick Richards’ Southwest slasher film DEATH VALLEY.
