After peeking out at us from behind a grave, Frankenweenie is ready for his moment in the, uh, gray, gray sky.
Tim Burton's FRANKENWEENIE is an updated, feature length adaptation of his 1984 live action short about a young boy, so heartbroken over his pet's death, he takes Mary Shelley's tale of the modern Prometheus to heart and sparks new life in Sparky.
Just earlier this month, Fango got a peek at about 30 minutes of FRANKENWEENIE and it looks absolutely splendid, from the beautifully crafted stop motion, to being infused with real heart and reverence for classic monster cinema; Tim Burton certainly feels reanimated.
FRANKENWEENIE is out October 5, 2012 and stars Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Martin Landau and Catherine O'Hara.
