Lots of folks have tried their hand at visually articulating Lovecraft with varying degrees of success (and if you're not Stuart Gordon, you're skirting flunkdom). But if anyone has a shot at making the lord of literary foreplay's words come to macabre life it's Lovercraft obsessive, noted composer and Fango contributor MARS (SLIME CITY MASSACRE) with his moody and atmospheric Cthulu creeper, TRANSCENDENT.

We're not always keen to push the potential of an indie filmmaker's KICKSTARTER campaign - if we do one, where do we draw the line? - but we believe in the man making this picture, and one look at the swank no-budget trailer shows that MARS has a firm grasp on the tentacles of filmmaking.
