Guy wakes up in an open grave and doesn't know how he got there.
Deadline reports that the new film from APOLLO 18's Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (KING OF THE HILL) has attracted the DISTRICT 9 and A-TEAM actor, Sharlto Copley. The film will see Copley awake in the aforementioned open grave among a pile of corpses, with no recollection of where he is, or what he's done.
The site also brought word that Copley has taken on the villain role in Spike Lee's upcoming remake of Chan Wook-park's OLDBOY. Co-starring Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen, the original sees a man kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years and upon release, leads a five day rampage of revenge and startling discovery.
In the English-language update, Copley will play Adrian Pryce, the billionaire who's abducted Brolin's Joe Douchett. Of course, OLDBOY is an incredible film, with little need for a remake, but one directed by Lee and attracting such a cast is undoubtedly something to keep an eye on.
