Platinum Studios, the company behind the upcoming Dylan Dog feature DEAD OF NIGHT, has another horror flick in the works. It’ll co-produce a movie version of its vampire comic BLOOD NATION.
Variety reports that Platinum chairman/CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg will produce the film with Emjag Productions’ Alexandra Milchan, whose credits include MIRRORS. “BLOOD NATION is a world war movie set in the future where the humans and the vampires have divided up the planet but not yet made peace with each other,” Milchan tells the trade. In the comic, written by Rob Moran with art by James Devlin, the European region dominated by the bloodsuckers has been walled off from the rest of the world. But when reports arise that they’ve managed to escape, Captain Ethan Cutter leads an elite group of humans into vamp territory in order to preserve humanity. No talent has yet been attached to the movie.
