Sean Byrne's THE LOVED ONES has been a legit festival darling, and after two years of hearing just how good it is, Paramount Insurge is finally inviting you to the prom.

Ain't It Cool (head there for an excellent talk with Byrne) debuted the brand new (and really great) poster for the Australian horror film that's set many genre fan home a buzzing, with the news that Paramount Insurge will be releasing THE LOVED ONES this June.

If you haven't heard a ton about the film just yet, here's a refresher: "Lola Stone asked Brent Mitchell to the prom, but Brent said no, and now he's screwed. What happens when Lola doesn't get what she wants? She enlists daddy's help to throw a prom of her own where she is queen and Brent is king — whether he likes it or not. THE LOVED ONES is what happens when puppy love goes horribly, violently wrong. Brent should have said yes…"

While I'm not as taken with the film as most others, our Chris Alexander was all about it, and there's no denying that Robin McLeavy is a total force as Lola— a villain that demands to be seen.
