A second trailer for PARANORMAN conjures excitement for the second half of the year, and it's darkly-tinged family films.
Following yesterday's charming FRANKENWEENIE clip, the latest look at Laika's (the folks behind CORALINE) PARANORMAN is much more descriptive than its wonderful, moody first, giving us a pretty explicit idea of the characters and story. To that end, it's also a bit long, so be warned if you don't want to know much.
Either way, the film from Chris Butler and Sam Fell looks great! Kodi Smit-McPhee (LET ME IN), Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Casey Affleck and Leslie Mann all lend their voices to the story about "a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman, who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits."
PARANORMAN is out August 17. The trailer comes form iTunes.
