Continuing to run the gamut with its genre DVD releases, Breaking Glass Pictures has a trio of titles coming in the next couple of months under its Vicious Circle Films banner: WOUND, THE GRUESOME DEATH OF TOMMY PISTOL and THE FIELDS (pictured left). Read on for dates, details and a couple of covers and trailers.

First up on March 6 is WOUND, from New Zealand writer/director David Blyth of DEATH WARMED UP and RED BLOODED AMERICAN GIRL. His latest picture, which won the approval of none other than Ken Russell, is set in the world of S&M fetishism and follows two women as they deal with inner demons, madness and vengeance. Presented in 16x9-enhanced widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, the movie is accompanied on disc by Blyth’s 1976 short film CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS and music videos for the soundtrack songs “Knot Nine” and “Damn Laser Vampires.” Retail price is $24.99.

Next, on March 27, is THE GRUESOME DEATH OF TOMMY PISTOL, the PollyGrind Film Festival winner directed by Aramis Sartorio from a script he wrote with Karen Sartorio. This one’s a mix of horror and black comedy following struggling actor Tommy through his increasingly bleak life and a series of bizarre nightmares. This one will be presented in 1.85:1 widescreen with stereo sound, and we’ve also got the scoop on the special features:

• Audio commentary by director Sartorio

• Behind-the-scenes footage

• Interviews with Sartorio and cast members Mia Tyler, Caleb Emerson and Kimberly Kane

• “It Ate His Face” music video trailer

• “DJ Tommy Pistol” music video

• “Amorea”—Sartorio sings!

• “Cheese Theatre” sketch comedy troupe featurette

Finally, we got the first word that Vicious Circle will release THE FIELDS April 24; details and art have yet to come down. Directed by Tom Mattera and David Mazzoni from a screenplay by Harrison Smith, it stars the odd couple of Tara Reid and Cloris Leachman and is set on a farm where a family is terrorized by a mysterious presence lurking in the corn.
