When the undead attack, the only safe haven is…the Jersey Shore? That’s the premise of WORKING CLASS NIGHTMARE, an on-line series from creator/director/producer Jay Joseph Jr. that premieres next month. Read on for the details and to see some exclusive photos.

Written by Joseph and Joel Davenport, WORKING CLASS NIGHTMARE (debuting February 12) stars Elise Link as Hope and Aubrey Mozino as Jessie, a folk singer and activist respectively who frequent a coffee shop inside a suburban strip mall. When zombies attack the place, the two girls join up with Gothic boutique worker Harold (Joshua Rasiel), his warlock-wannabe boss Zazriel (Vance Clemente) and conspiracy theorist/repairman Dyrone (Sam Gordon) to flee and fight their way toward the Shore, which a radio news report has named as the last bastion of civilization. Misael Sanchez was the cinematographer, while Fiona Tyson and Elizabeth Piper S. handled the makeup FX.

Joseph recalls that the series had a basis in his own reality: “A few years ago, I was working in a video-game store,” he says. “What I thought would be the coolest job in the world when I was a kid, turned out to be a dead-end, zombielike existence. I realized I was caught in a comic tragic struggle of the working poor.” So he pulled together some money, friends, cast and crew and shot the series in upstate New York.
