Experience the very TEXAS CHAINSAW-esque trailer for OPEN WATER filmmakers Chris Kentis and Laura Lau re-do of Uruguayan one-take horror THE SILENT HOUSE. 

Following the impressive one-shot structure, SILENT HOUSE sees a young woman (MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE star Elizabeth Olsen) a explore the increasingly strange occurrences of her family's rural vacation home.

SILENT HOUSE premiered at Sundance last year and while the film seemingly improves upon the visual aspects of the original (seriously, it looks pretty great), I'm quite curious to see how they handle the deal breaker of an end that came saddled with the Gustavo Hernandez version. It really is a fatal flaw, and sadly directly related with how the filmmaker chose to tell his story. Olsen told Fango last year it wouldn't be the same, so at least there's a bit of hope. 

Open Road releases the film March 9. Yahoo! premiered the clip. Pick up Fango #311, on sale in February, for an interview with Kentis and Lau on SILENT HOUSE.
