Because the best way to appreciate the greatest child in cinema history, is on the big screen!

This Friday, January 6, the wonderful folk at 92Y Tribeca are hosting a 35mm screening of Lucio Fulci's weird and ridiculous HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY in its original, uncut form (thanks to the equally wonderful Blue Underground).

The third in the ZOMBIE director's "Gates of Hell" trilogy, HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY sees a New England family terrorized by a killer in their basement, and boasts Fulci's penchant for carnage and Bob, that impossibly irritating, but (in my opinion) totally lovable child.

The screening gets underway at 8 p.m. with a trailer reel preceding the film (and plenty of beer on hand), so come hang! You can find out more and pick up tickets right here

P.S. Speaking of 92Y, they're also hosting a double feature of Alex Winter's FREAKED (w/ Winter attending) and DEATH WISH 3 next Saturday, January 14.

Double P.S. 35mm exhibition is a total gift and coupled with how excited I am for Friday, I've been really lucky these past few weeks to see some incredible cinema—like Zulawski's POSSESSION and Alan Resnais' LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD—projected. If you appreciate discovering films in the best way, give a read to, and sign Julia Marchese (of Los Angeles' New Beverly Cinema) petition to save the renting of 35mm archival prints!
