One more bit of DVD news for today: Fango got the scoop on the disc release of the Australian indie creature feature EL MONSTRO DEL MAR!, along with the first peek at the cover art.

The movie hits DVD February 28 from Breaking Glass Pictures on its Vicious Circle label. Written and directed by Stuart Simpson, EL MONSTRO DEL MAR! stars Norman Yemm (whom Ozploitation fans will recall from his memorable appearance in Terry Bourke’s 1972 NIGHT OF FEAR), Nelli Scarlet, Kylie Capri, Karli Madden and Kate Watts, and tells of a trio of bad girls who encounter a tentacled critter in a seaside town. Special features on the disc include:

• Audio commentary by the filmmakers

• Audio commentary by the cast

• Interview with the MONSTRO girls

• Behind-the-scenes material

• Deleted scenes

• Simpson’s short films ACID SPIDERS and SICKIE
