The 2012 Sundance Film Festival has just revealed the seven titles for its Park City at Midnight section, and it’s a pretty horror-centric bunch this year. Among them is a movie repping a collaboration between a number of hot up-and-coming genre filmmakers.

That project is V/H/S, directed by Adam Wingard of A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE and YOU’RE NEXT, THE SIGNAL’s David Bruckner, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and THE INNKEEPERS’ Ti West, I SELL THE DEAD’s Glenn McQuaid, mumblecore veteran Joe Swanberg and Radio Silence, written by NEXT’s Simon Barrett, Bruckner, West, McQuaid and Radio Silence and starring Swanberg, Wingard, Calvin Reeder, Sophia Takal and Kate Lyn Sheil. The movie is framed by a group of misfits hired by a mysterious third party to break into a house in search of a VHS tape with frightening contents.

Also part of the Midnight slate are GRABBERS (pictured above), directed by TORMENTED’s John Wright and scripted by Kevin Lehane, set on an island off the Irish coast that’s invaded by bloodsucking aliens—which, the residents learn, can be repelled by having a high blood-alcohol content; BLACK ROCK, directed by THE FREEBIE’s Kate Aselton from a script by Mark Duplass, starring Aselton, Lake Bell and STRAW DOGS’ Kate Bosworth as three friends fighting for their lives on an island off the coast of Maine; EXCISION (pictured below), written and directed by Richard Bates Jr. and starring AnnaLynne McCord as a high-school student with a twisted surgical obsession, with a great supporting cast including Traci Lords, John Waters, Malcolm McDowell and Ray Wise; and writer/director Nicholas McCarthy’s THE PACT, about a woman trying to come to grips with her past following her mother’s death while dealing with a menacing presence in her childhood home, starring DEATH VALLEY’s Caity Lotz, Caspen Van Dien and THE WOODS’ Agnes Bruckner.
