Camp Motion Pictures and its assorted labels have
specialized in bringing indie shockers past and present to the home market, and
now has a new venue for these movies thanks to a streaming deal it has signed
with Fourth Castle Micromedia’s The Monster Channel for titles like SCREAMING
DEAD (pictured), SPLATTER DISCO and VIDEO VIOLENCE.
The Monster Channel, the only 24/7 interactive channel for monster fans (with a built-in chat screen that allows for fan communication during the broadcasts), will stream over a dozen features from the Camp library in 2012. Included will be Brett Piper’s SCREAMING DEAD, SHOCK-O-RAMA, BITE ME and BACTERIUM and Richard Griffin’s SPLATTER DISCO, plus SUBURBAN NIGHTMARE, RED RIVER, SPLATTER BEACH and SKIN CRAWL as part of the channel’s nighttime programming. A weekly spotlight show called “Lunchmeat VHS Rewind Theatre” will present such shot-on-video favorites as VIDEO VIOLENCE, VIDEO VIOLENCE 2, CANNIBAL CAMPOUT, WOODCHIPPER MASSACRE, SPLATTER FARM, BEAUTY QUEEN BUTCHER and GHOUL SCHOOL. These will be presented as scheduled programming, not on demand, with “Lunchmeat VHS Rewind Theatre” premiering Friday, January 13 at 10 p.m. EST, and the other movies shown throughout the year.
