Early October brought word of David Cronenberg's script and plan to return to both horror, and one of his most fantastic of films, THE FLY. Sadly, it seems Fox doesn't share our excitement.

As the exceptional filmmaker continues to forge ahead with exceptional filmmaking, the small possibility of a return to the more physically transgressive and often outlandish pondering of identity crises and illness he's since strayed from, was something to really hope for. For now, that won't be the case, however. Indiewire brings news of Fox's lack of movement on the project, with the DEAD RINGERS director explaining, "I wrote a script and at the moment Fox is not wanting to do the project."
