Jason Blum, producer of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, INSIDIOUS, LORDS OF SALEM and more, is looking to past publications for new cinema.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Blum, his production outfit Blumhouse and the folks behind A&E's PARANORMAL STATE have picked up the rights to classic rag Fate. Launched in the late 40s, the magazine is host to tales of the amazing, supernatural and unexpected, and Blum and co. plan to dig right in there, utilizing many of the stories for both film and television projects.

It's a great idea and I'd love to see more of the classic comics and crime magazines (EERIE, BLACK MASK), which were often filled with ahead of their time, pulp-as-hell stories brought to life.

For more, check out Fango's chat with Blum on his current happenings right here, and peek below at some of the coolest classic covers of FATE I found while poking around.
