TWIXT, Francis Ford Coppola's seemingly over-the-top and shlocky small town horror tale has a moody new international poster.
The film, which garnered all sorts of excitement (especially from myself) at this past summer's San Diego Comic Con, thanks to Coppola's wildly fun and inspiring panel, has floundered a bit following tons of negative word after its Toronto premiere. Thus, no word yet on distribution, but Kino Gallery did handily debut this poster.
The film sees "Hall Baltimore (Val Kilmer), a struggling author of third-rate thrillers, flogging copies on a book tour through sleepy small towns. When Hall arrives in the grim outpost of Swan Valley, the local sheriff (Bruce Dern) snares his attention with the tale of a young girl’s mysterious death. That night, Hall, who lost a daughter of his own, encounters the ghost of a girl (Elle Fanning), and she gives him a tour of the town’s dark secrets. What Hall finds reveals more about his own past than even he could previously grasp."
Hopefully, and despite the signs pointing to something much less than stellar, Coppola's proposed roadshow will still take place. Until then, you can see the poster and trailer below.
