Not a lot, unfortunately—but while Julian Gilbey’s terrific
survival-in-the-woods thriller is currently available on VOD, it deserves to be
seen on the big screen, and audiences in New York City, at least, will have a
(limited) chance.
A LONELY PLACE TO DIE will screen at Manhattan’s IFC Center (323 6th Avenue) this Friday and Saturday nights at 12:10 a.m., followed by 12:40 p.m. showings Monday through Wednesday. It’s the type of super-limited play IFC Films has been giving too many of its movies lately, but it’s worth taking the time to check this one out. LONELY PLACE stars TRIANGLE’s Melissa George, Ed Speleers, Alec Newman, Garry Sweeney, Kate Magowan and HELLBOY’s Karen Roden; you can see our review here and read about the film in Fango #308, now on sale.
