The Canadian postapocalyptic chiller THE COLLAPSED has already nabbed distribution on home turf from Anchor Bay, and now director/co-writer Justin McConnell has gotten in touch with the scoop on a deal for the U.S.

McConnell reveals to Fango that Otter Creek Motion Pictures will release THE COLLAPSED February 28 (the same day as the Canadian debut) on DVD and VOD. Special features on the disc will include a pair of audio commentaries, a feature-length behind-the-scenes documentary, exclusive interviews and more. “I’m extremely excited that the film is going to have a chance for so many to see it worldwide,” McConnell tells Fango. “To have it available through such solid distribution partners is a bit of a dream come true, and I have nothing but gratitude for the wonderful team around me during every step of this process—from cast, to crew, to agents and distributors. We continue to have a great festival run, and I hope people choose to check the film out for themselves when it’s available everywhere.”

THE COLLAPSED follows the Weaver family as they attempt to make their way across a plague-ravaged countryside to safety, threatened by both unseen, deadly presences in the woods around them and other, more desperate people.
