Home-invasion horror is hot these days, and the granddaddy of the genre is revisited in the new version of STRAW DOGS, starring James Marsden, Kate Bosworth and TRUE BLOOD’s Alexander Skarsgård. The remake is on its way to your home, and full disc specs and cover art have just come through.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will issue STRAW DOGS on DVD, Blu-ray and digital platforms December 20. Rod Lurie wrote and directed the new take on Sam Peckinpah’s classic, in which a peaceable screenwriter (Marsden) and his wife (Bosworth) move into a new house in her Southern hometown and receive the brutal attentions of a gang of violent locals led by Skarsgård. James Woods, Dominic Purcell and Willa Holland also star; the movie will be presented in anamorphic 2.40:1 widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound on the Blu-ray. Special features on both are:
