Fango fave Debbie Rochon has been getting all kinds of positive attention lately that we’re more than happy to report here. By happy coincidence, two different sources have today ranked Debbie among the top five scream queens!

The UK on-line edition of MSN, tying in with next week’s release of the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake, has announced its list of the top 10 horror heroines, with Debbie coming in at number five. You can go straight to her entry here.

At the same time, the B Movie Celebration, an annual festival devoted to indie horror taking place in Franklin, Indiana, has nominated Debbie as Best Scream Queen of 2009 in its Golden Cob Awards for her performance in Gregory Lamberson’s SLIME CITY MASSACRE (pictured above). She’s up against her MASSACRE co-star Brooke Lewis, along with April Monique Burril for CHAINSAW SALLY, Kristina Klebe for ZONE OF THE DEAD and Victoria Maurette for BULLETFACE.
