Trailers for two of this and next year's most exciting genre titles hit over the weekend. Head below for glimpses at LIVID and THE INNKEEPERS!
Premiering at Apple, the clip for Magnet's upcoming release of Ti West's THE INNKEEPERS admittedly probably gives away too much, as its focusing on the horror elements (and not the genuinely lovable comedy bits), so be wary. Still, the movie's great and will play well no matter what.
THE INNKEEPERS sees the two remaining employees of a closing Connecticut hotel turn amateur ghost-hunters in a last ditch effort to make contact. Magnolia Pictures' genre arm, Magnet, brings the film to VOD Dec 30, and theaters February 3. Check Fango's review right here.
Meanwhile, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, the gentlemen behind INSIDE, have LIVID on the way. A moving nightmare, LIVID tells of a young girl and her two friends breaking into the house of a comatose, rich old lady to find treasure. What they find is a treasure trove of eerie, surreal and lethal threats. The film is a major tonal shift from the ferocity of INSIDE, but it's just as striking and engrossing. Dimension has the film for a 2012 U.S. release. You can see Fango's review from Fantastic Fest here.
