The upcoming remake of the Uruguayan one-take horror, THE SILENT HOUSE now has a release date.
Starring this year's breakout actress Elizabeth Olsen (the amazing MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE), the film sees a young woman explore the increasingly strange occurrences of her family's rural vacation home. Open Road will release the film March 9, 2012.
Kentis and Lau have stuck to the original's conceit of one continuous take, but it seems they've have changed the previous film's ending (probably because it was a major, major flaw). You can see what Olsen had to tell Fango about the changes right here.
