We first told you here about a British vampire thriller called UMBRAGE, starring Doug Bradley
(pictured) and set for U.S. distribution via Lionsgate next year. The movie hit
DVD this week in the UK, and we’ve got an exclusive excerpt (with a bit of non-work-safe language) and photos (one a potential spoiler) to show
you.
Written and directed by Drew Cullingham, UMBRAGE stars
Bradley as an antiques dealer who moves to a remote farm with his new wife
(Grace Vallorani) and stepdaughter (Rita Ramnani), bringing with him an ancient
mirror containing the spirit of the succubus Lilith (Natalia Celino, 2nd photo
below)—the mother of all bloodsuckers. When she is unleashed, her centuries-old
enemy, the Irish cowboy vampire Phelan (Jonnie Hurn) arrives for a hellish
battle. On the Brit DVD, the special features are:
• Audio commentary by Bradley and Cullingham
• “Making of UMBRAGE” documentary
• Interview with Bradley
• Music video: Hokie Joint’s “The Way It Goes Sometimes”
• UK trailer
Stay tuned for details on the U.S. release, and check out UMBRAGE’s official website and Facebook page.
