A director has been chosen for Warner Bros. previously announced visit to THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Deadline reports that CLOVERFIELD and LET ME IN's Matt Reeves is top choice to helm the latest revival of Rod Serling's classic show, which will eschew the anthology format of its previous big screen endeavor, and instead tell one standalone story. No word on the specifics of the tale just yet, except that Jason Rothenberg has scripted.

Reeves is, of course, attached to a couple of other projects at the moment, including an adaptation of THE PASSAGE, as well as a new version of 8 O' CLOCK IN THE MORNING (the source material of THEY LIVE), so it remains to be seen whether we'll actually see him take the reins on this one. Still, he's given us two stylistically different and very worthy efforts so far, so it'd be nice to see someone of talent take this on.
