The trend of superviolent superhero movies continues with VS, an indie film that has its world premiere at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival later this month. Keep reading for an exclusive look at a pair of character posters.

Written and directed by Jason Trost, who won attention at this year’s Fantasia festival for his previous feature THE FP, VS is about four self-styled superheroes who are kidnapped by their nemesis, Rickshaw (James Remar) and forced to take part in a deadly scenario in which they must rescue a town full of innocent civilians. Trost also co-stars along with Lucas Till, Sean Whalen, the LAID TO REST films’ Nick Principe, Sophie Merkley, Lee Valmassy and Brian Taylor.
