A new red band trailer for the upcoming THE THING has happened, and while it showcases plenty of creature, there's a lot more CGI than you're going to want from this film. 

IGN premiered the clip. The film, of course, is a direct prequel (though looks to hit many of the same beats) to John Carpenter's THE THING and concerns the Norwegian camp that tussled with the extraterrestrial just prior to MacReady and Co. Matthijs Van Heijningen directed and Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton star. THE THING hits October 14.
