DRIVE, the new film by Nicolas Winding Refn of the PUSHER trilogy that opens tomorrow from FilmDistrict, is one of the year’s best movies—a knockout action/drama starring Ryan Gosling as a part-time Hollywood stuntman and getaway driver for hire. In addition to its vehicular mayhem, the movie also offers a number of startlingly bloody moments, and you can get a taste of them in some exclusive “red band” pics after the jump.

DRIVE’s awesome cast also includes Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Fango fave Ron Perlman, Oscar Issac, Christina Hendricks and Albert Brooks (2nd photo below) in a terrific change-of-pace villainous turn. The film was scripted by Hossein Amini from James Sallis’ novel and features Cliff Martinez’s second superb score this month (after CONTAGION).
