The man behind the PINK PANTHER remake, the NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM flicks and the upcoming REAL STEEL is being eyed to helm 20th Century Fox’s FRANKENSTEIN project.

Deadline reports that Fox is attempting to persuade Shawn Levy (who’s been trying to get a FANTASTIC VOYAGE reboot going) to make FRANKENSTEIN his next effort. With several FRANKENSTEIN projects in the pipeline from various studios, Fox wants to move quickly on the script by Max (son of John) Landis based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel and are hoping for a winter/spring slot.
