Caleb Landry Jones has been cast as the male lead in Neil
Jordan’s vampire film BYZANTIUM.
Variety reports that Jones will join Saoirse Ronan and Gemma Arterton in BYZANTIUM. Moira Buffini penned the script (based on her youth theater play), which revolves around a mother and daughter who move to a small British town, where they reveal that they’re vampires. Jones will essay a teenager dying of leukemia struggling with his mortality, causing Ronan’s character to struggle with her own immortality. Jones played Caleb in THE LAST EXORCISM and Banshee in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS.
