IFC Films has been releasing fright fare from all over the world, and continues in the next couple of months with JULIA’S EYES (which also has a new trailer) and SAINT. Both movies now have specific debut dates.

JULIA’S EYES, a Guillermo del Toro presentation directed by Guillem Morales from a script he wrote with Oriol Paulo, will be available via video-on-demand this Wednesday, August 24 and hits select theaters Friday, August 26. THE ORPHANAGE’s Belén Rueda stars as Julia, a woman who is losing her sight and investigates the death of her twin sister—whom everyone believes committed suicide, though Julia suspects foul play. See EYES’ IFC page here. Dick Maas’ SAINT, in which the European holiday icon St. Nicholas (who became Santa Claus in the U.S.) turned murderous goes on a rampage through Amsterdam, will begin its limited theatrical release Friday, September 2 and hit VOD Wednesday, Sept. 7. Check out our review here and an interview with Maas in Fango #305.

Meanwhile, the DVD cover art has emerged for WE ARE THE NIGHT, the sexy vampire film from German director Dennis Gansel that IFC and MPI Media Group release September 20. As opposed to the dubbed version that went out via VOD earlier this year, the disc will include the original German soundtrack with English subtitles. No special features have been announced; retail price is $24.98. Actress Jennifer Ulrich discusses the movie here
