A brand new look at Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's seemingly supernatural home invasion film, INTRUDERS has hit courtesy of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Premiering next month at TIFF, INTRUDERS "transcends the confines of the horror genre through an emotional engagement with childhood fears, human frailty and the threat of the unknown. Clive Owen stars as John Farrow, a father who cannot protect his young daughter from faceless intruders, in this intense psychological drama," so says the fest's synopsis.
What's interesting, and we haven't exactly learned until now, is that Owen's daughter in the film has a sibling separated from the two who's also experiencing terrors. Fresnadillo (who's currently gearing up to shoot THE CROW) is really a director worth rooting for, so here's hoping his team-up with the excellent Owen will be a successful one. The potential is certainly there.
No word on U.S. distribution for the film just yet.
