A serial murderer is on the loose in the Lone Star State, and an all-star cast is after him in the upcoming thriller TEXAS KILLING FIELDS. We’ve got the release info and a couple of early photos.

Anchor Bay opens TEXAS KILLING FIELDS in limited theatrical play October 7, with disc/VOD debuts to follow. Directed by Ami Canaan Mann, produced by her father Michael Mann and Michael Jaffe and scripted by Donald F. Ferrarone, the movie is based on true events involving the dumping of dozens of bodies in the region of the title. WATCHMEN’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan (1st photo below) and AVATAR’s Sam Worthington star as detectives on the killer’s trail, with rising star Jessica Chastain as Worthington’s ex-wife—a policewoman separately tracking the villain—and LET ME IN’s Chloë Grace Moretz (2nd photo) as a troubled local girl.
