The director of four HARRY POTTER films and writer of seven
of them are teaming up to turn Stephen King’s apocalyptic epic into multiple
movies.
Hitfix got the exclusive that David Yates—who helmed the last four HARRY POTTER films (including the finale, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HOLLOWS: PART 2)—and Steve Kloves—who wrote every HARRY POTTER except for THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX—are in the process of finalizing their deals with Warner Bros. to make THE STAND into several feature films. King’s novel was previously made into a TV mini-series by Mick Garris back in 1994.
