One of Fango’s favorite flicks of the year, Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND, debuts today on DVD and Blu-ray from Dark Sky Films, which produced it with Glass Eye Pix. The discs are loaded with extras, and we’ve got an exclusive look at a vampire FX segment after the jump.

Nick Damici (who scripted STAKE LAND with Mickle) stars as Mister, a survivor in an America overrun by predatory vampires—and evil religious fanatics—who helps a small group attempt to find safety amidst the terror. Connor Paolo, Danielle Harris, Kelly McGillis, Sean Nelson and Michael Cerveris co-star; Brian Spears created the special makeup, as seen below. STAKE LAND is on a single DVD, double-DVD set and Blu-ray; extras on the latter two are:
