Shooting has wrapped in Texas on CHRISTMAS WITH THE DEAD, the Yuletide horrorfest based on Joe R. Lansdale’s short story, and we’ve got the first look at some ghoulish photos. Jump past the jump to see ’em!

Executive-produced by Lansdale and directed by Terrill Lee Lankford from a screenplay by Joe’s son Keith Lansdale, the movie stars Damian Maffei (4th and 5th pics below) as Calvin, a guy who tries to assuage the loneliness of being one of the few survivors of an undead outbreak by staging a Christmas celebration. “Despite the ungodly heat, the six weeks of filming were a big success,” Maffei tells Fango. “It’s going to be a wild and unusual film. Not the standard zombie fare, I have to say.” The cast also includes Brad Maule, Joe’s daughter Kasey Lansdale and horror author Chet Williamson, with Marcus Koch of 100 TEARS and SWEATSHOP and Cat Bernier heading up the makeup team.
