Robert Zemeckis is in talks to helm HERE THERE BE MONSTERS, a movie about Revolutionary War naval hero John Paul Jones...except with sea monsters!
The Wrap reports that HERE THERE BE MONSTERS may be Zemeckis’ next directorial project. Zemeckis’ genre credits include DEATH BECOMES HER, episodes of TALES FROM THE CRYPT, WHAT LIES BENEATH and BEOWULF. Brian Helgeland has been hired to write the script for the Warner Bros./Legendary project. Helgeland’s genre credits include A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER, 976-EVIL, HIGHWAY TO HELL, two episodes of the FRIDAY THE 13TH TV series, an episode of TALES FROM THE CRYPT, THE ORDER and CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT. He won an Academy Award for L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.
