In our second DVD item of the day on cult British horror fare following our Synapse/Hammer news break, we’ve got the skinny on a new DVD of the 1973 flick HORROR HOSPITAL. Read on for the specs and the cover art.

Directed by Antony Balch, HORROR HOSPITAL stars Michael Gough (pictured, also seen in KONGA, HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM, the BATMAN films et al.) as Dr. Christian Storm, evil head medico at the title facility, where patients are subjected to evil experiments and a young couple (Robin Askwith and Vanessa Shaw) struggle to escape. Dark Sky Films releases its disc June 15, presenting the film in uncut/uncensored form in a 16x9-enhanced widescreen transfer. It’ll be accompanied by a fresh audio commentary by producer Richard Gordon, moderated by Fango scribe Tom Weaver, and an extensive still/promo gallery including pics from Gordon’s personal collection and rare lobby cards from Germany. Retail price is $19.98.
