Melissa George has been added to the cast of A&E’s BAG OF BONES, the two-night, four-hour mini-series based on Stephen King’s novel.
Deadline reports that George joins Pierce Brosnan and Annabeth Gish on the mini-series. George has appeared in 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, TRIANGLE and the upcoming A LONELY PLACE TO DIE (read the Fantasia Festival review here). BAG OF BONES is set to premiere late next year and centers on bestselling novelist Mike Noonan (Brosnan), who is trying to recover from his wife Jo’s (Gish) death, when a dream inspires him to return to his lakeside retreat in Maine, where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of a young widow (George) and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather. Things take a supernatural turn when Mike has ghostly visitations, nightmares and realizes that his late wife still has something to tell him. Mick Garris directs from a script by Matt Venne.
