No, we’re not talking about the Takashi Miike film. We’re talking dwarf assassins! Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT is currently shooting in New Zealand, and this image gives us a look at the entire impressive-looking dwarf lineup.

Jackson’s two-part fantasy epic adapts J.R.R. Tolkien’s THE HOBBIT, OR THERE AND BACK AGAIN, and concerns Bilbo Baggins, who gets mixed up with the wizard Gandalf and a band of 13 dwarves who seek to reclaim their lost kingdom and a stolen treasure. On the way they have to confront goblins, orcs, Gollum and a dragon, among other dangers. Starring as the dwarves (from left to right) are Jed Brophy, Dead O’Gorman, Mark Hadlow, James Nesbitt, Peter Hambleton, Graham McTavish, Richard Armitage (as Thorin Oakenshield), Ken Stott, John Callen, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Adam Brown and Aidan Turner. The films will be released on December 14, 2012 and December 13, 2013, respectively.
